The Gospel. 

This was going to be a reboot of " Somehow" from the Man About Town album. We did the acoustic track, and Tom started playing bass. This is when it all changed.  The progression changed, the feeling changed, and as cool as it was, Andre and I thought it would be even cooler to just take the beginning and the end of the song, smash them together and make something entirely different.  

Now that we had two minutes of "na na na nahhh's," we got to work personalizing it.  The solution was to record more na na na nahhh's.  Then even more.  We recorded who knows how many takes, and then we started singing them while walking around and clinking glasses.  I broke a glass. If you listen closely you can hear it.  We talked and walked around the schoolhouse and spent a few hours just becoming a crowd.  

I like being a crowd.
