This song is a personal confession. I can honestly say the older I get, the more I realize just how little I actually know.  I'm constantly humbled.  Maybe it's because when I was younger, I thought I knew it all.  Now I see people, and I try to just see people. And while I'm around I’m aware of the intense nature of life.  Much more intense for some than others.  Life is like a hurricane.

Tom and I sang the opera voices together, but he really cranked it!  Tom is a fearless musician, and I learned a lot from him in the short time we spent together.  
I sang the lead vocals at twilight.  The school house has this amazing red light in the corner of the ceiling.  When the outside light is dying, the red light takes over.  Another of this amazing room's many moods.  It feels like the dark is taking over… It creeps in like a fog and before you know it, it's over. I would get the feeling that something had passed and I’d never get it back again.  

Would that I could see through lies, you know for sure I'd tell you the truth.  
And I would.  If I knew it, I would absolutely tell you.
